A seventeen-year-old boy ended his life by allegedly died by suicide by consuming some poisonous substance at his home in Drung village of central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Tuesday.

An unknown official told a local news agency, Kashmir Dot Com- (KDC) that the youth identified as Shabir Ahmad Pala Son of Gulzar Ahmad Palla, resident of Drung Village consumed some poisonous substance at his home. He was immediately rushed to Primary Health Care (PHC) Khag hospital, where doctors referred him to Shri Maharaja Hari Singh (SMHS) Hospital Srinagar for further treatment, the official added.

However, he was declared dead on arrival at SMHS Hospital, he said.

Meanwhile, police have registered a case under various sections of law and taken up further investigations in this regard, the official added. (KDC)
