Spain’s equality minister Irene Montero has tested positive for coronavirus along with her partner deputy prime minister and Podemos leader Pablo Iglesias and has been quarantined a government statement said Thursday.
“This morning, all members of the government will undergo testing,” it said, indicating the results would be published later in the day.
As the novel coronavirus continues its global spread, the World Health Organization confirmed early Thursday that more than 124,500 infections have been diagnosed worldwide.
