Kashmiri girl who has been missing from her home in Srinagar has been traced to Bihar and the Police have been conducting raids to recover her from the Arrah district of the state.
According reports suggest that a resident of Srinagar’s Kral Khud area, the girl went missing from her home in Srinagar on 11 November.
According to The Kashmiriyat, the accused who is from Bihar had come to Srinagar for work.
The news portal quoting police, the relatives of the missing girl lodged a missing report on 11 November regarding the disappearance of a girl from the Kral Khud police station area of Srinagar.
The Police started searching for the missing girl. During the searches, the Police, as per the news report, received inputs of her presence in Bihar’s Arrah district.
A Jammu Kashmir Police official told The Kashmiriyat that they received inputs about the presence of the girl in Bihar, after which they constituted a team, who are conducting raids in the Bihar area along with the local Police.
“As of now, we have achieved no breakthrough,” the official said.
However, news reports said that during the raid in Arrah for the accused youth and the kidnapped girl, the police arrested the brother of the accused as both of them were found missing.
The brother of the accused identified as Mohammed Sohrab who has been detained has, according to the report, refuted knowing the whereabouts of his brother.
