Amidst the surge in casualties due to Coronavirus in Iran, the Kashmiri students studying in the country have urged the Indian authorities to evacuate them at the earliest.
The development comes as Coronavirus has spread in the Islamic Republic. Latest reports suggest that over 40 people have died in the country due to the virus and dozens are infected.
Meanwhile Kashmiri students studying in Isfahan university while talking to The Kashmir Walla said that the university has asked the students to evacuate the hostel at the earliest and return to their country.
There are about nine students from Kashmir in same university and about three others from different states of India.
Students there are in a panic state as the virus is spreading throughout the country.
The students have appealed the Indian authorities to evacuate them at the earliest.
“We are stuck here, there is a news going on that the authorities here might shut down the airport. We appeal the authorities to please rescue us,” a student told The Kashmir Walla.
Another student in Tehran where around 150 students are studying expressed similar concern. “We are left with no option but to return to India as its very scary here. We appeal the agencies to evacuate us,” said the student.
