Fourteen patients who were tested positive for COVID-19 in Kashmir have died since last night, taking fatalities count in Jammu and Kashmir to 2,435.

An official told a local news agency, Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the patients who died since last night after testing positive for COVID-19 include 65-year-old lady from Kawadara, female from Pampore Pulwama, 56-year-old man from Sonwar, 50-year-old man from Pakherpora Budgam, 82-year-old man from Hawal, 50-year-old woman from Shangus Anantnag, 62-year-old man from Anantnag, 69-year-old man from Watergam Baramulla, 80-year-old man from Batamaloo, 60-year-old man from Pantha Chowk, 60-year-old, 65-year-old and 75-year-old male from Pulwama and 55-year-old man from Sopore.

An official said that a 65-year-old female from Kawdara and 80-year-old man from Batamaloo died at JLNM Hospital Rainawari, whereas, 50-year-old lady from Shangus Anantnag, 50-year-old man from Pakherpora Budgam and a lady from Pampore Pulwama died at Sher-e-Kashmir Institute Of Medical Sciences Soura since last night.

He added that 57-year-old man from Sonawar, 65-year-old man from Anantnag, 69-year-old man from Watergam Baramulla and 60-year-old man from Pantha Chowk Srinagar died since last night at SMHS Hospital after testing positive for COVID-19.

He further added that 82-year-old man from Hawal died at CD Hospital Dalgate and 60-year-old, 65-year-old, 75-year-old man from Pulwama died at district hospital Pulwama, whereas, 55-year-old man from Sopore died at SDH Sopore.

With 14 fresh COVID-19 fatalities, the death toll due to the virus in Jammu and Kashmir climbed to 2,435, which include 981 from the Jammu division and 1,454 from the Kashmir division. (KNO)
