The armies of India and Pakistan on Saturday exchanged sweets at the Line of Control (LoC) in north Kashmir on the occasion of the Independence Day of Pakistan.

The exchange of sweets is also likely to place on the occasion of India’s 75th Independence Day tomorrow.

The armies of the two countries exchanged sweets at Chilehana Tithwal Crossing Point in Tangdhar sector of Jammu and Kashmir, news agency ANI reported.

Meanwhile, the Border Security Force (BSF) and Pakistan Rangers also exchanged sweets at the Attari-Wagah border near Amritsar in Punjab on Saturday.

 “We will also gift sweets to them tomorrow,” a BSF commandant Jasbir Singh said.

The exchange of sweets along the international border on significant occasions has taken place in past too.
