Srinagar: A suspected coronavirus patient, with travel history to Hungary, escaped from the isolation ward of Chest Disease Hospital Dalgate here on Wednesday afternoon, sources said.

A resident of Batamaloo Srinagar, the 25-year-old youth, according to the doctors, is a ‘strong suspected case’ and the result of his test is awaited.

Sources said that he was admitted yesterday and his sample has been sent for test. 

Last week also, a female patient suspected of COVID-19, had escaped from the Chest Diseases Hospital.

A returnee from Saudi Arabia, she was later traced and readmitted. Her test reports came out to be negative, they added. (GNS)
