Srinagar: After the corporator of Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) tested positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday, around a dozen corporators and associated staff, including Mayor Junaid Mattuu and his deputy were moved into quarantine.

The corporator, who tested positive, is a resident of Narwara, Srinagar.  Commissioner, SMC, Gazanfar Ali told that the corporators and the Mayor and deputy mayor’s staff were moved quarantine soon after reports were received.

The brother of the Corporator had allegedly hidden his travel history and stayed with his family. He was tested positive last Friday; following that, the family members were moved into a quarantine centre. (GNS)
