Srinagar: Eight family members who had come into contact with a deceased COVID-19 patient tested negative on Saturday.

A family from Beerwah in Budgam, central Kashmir, was quarantined after reports surfaced that the deceased COVID-19 patient from Tangmarg, north Kashmir, had visited their house. All the eight members were tested negative for COVID-19 today.

Block Medical Officer, Beerwah, Dr. Bashir Ahmed Khan said that all the family members were issued certificates of testing COVID-19 negative and have been sent back to their home with the advice that they will go for home quarantine, reported KNT.

Besides BMO, SDM Beerwah, Ajaz Ahmed and Station House Officer, Police Station Beerwah, Athar Ahmed visited the said quarantine centre and allowed the family members to go home. (KNT)
