Srinagar: In wake of the precautionary measures against the spread of the novel coronavirus, Real Kashmir FC will play a closed-door match against TRAU FC on 14 March.

Abiding by the government order, the match will host no spectator at the home-ground of RKFC – TRC Polo Synthetic Turf Ground, Srinagar.

Its statement read: “We regret to inform all our fans and supporters that under the order passed by the Government, our match against TRAU DC on 14th of March will be a closed door match without any spectator present. This is a public health safety measure due to the prevailing COVID-19 virus situation.”

Currently, the team stands at fourth position in I-League, with twenty-two points. The table is topped by Mohun Bagan with thirty-nine points.

By now, the virus has claimed more than 4,500 lives across the world and has infected more than 1,25,000 people, including seventy-three in India.
