A seven-year-old boy was killed in a road accident in the Hajin area of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district, officials said on Thursday.

They told a local news agency, Kashmir Dot Com (KDC), that Haris Ahmad Hurra (7) son of Mushtaq Ahmad, a resident of Parray Mohalla was hit by a four Tata Ace outside his house.

Haris was immediately shifted to CHC Hajin where doctors declared him dead.

A police officer confirmed to KDC and said the body has been handed over to the family members after completing medico-legal formalities.

The driver has been arrested and the vehicle was seized, he said, adding that further investigation has been set into motion. (KDC)
