Lightning kills hundreds of sheep and goats in Kangan

Srinagar: Around 200 sheep and goats were killed after lightning srtuck a meadow amid heavy rains in upper reaches of Kangan area of Ganderbal district.

According to reports, the lightning struck Ambpathri-Hocksar Wakhalwan meadows of Poshkar Wangat area of the district resulting in killing of hundreds of sheep and goats.

According to reports, the livestock belonged to Muhammad Yaseen Bakarwal, Ghulam Muhammad Khan, Nazir Ahmad Bakerwal, Abdul Majeed Bijran, Ghulam Hassan Koshi, Ghulam Muhammad Bijran, and Muhammad Sharief Kassana, all residents of Rajouri district.

However, there were no reports of any loss of human life
