Less than 1 percent votes polled in south Kashmir’s Pulwama and Shopian till 10 am

Srinagar: A total of 0.9 per cent votes were polled till 10 am on Monday in Shopian and Pulwama districts of south Kashmir during the third phase of Lok Sabha elections, said an official.

In Shopian only 1640 votes have been cast and 2993 votes have been cast in Pulwama district till 10:00 am. The overall votes cast till 10:00 am were 4633 out of total 522,530 electors.

The Lok Sabha polls to this constituency are being held in three phases due to security reasons.
There are 18 candidates in the fray for Anantnag constituency. The main candidate in the fray for this seat are former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti of PDP, Hasnain Masoodi of National Conference, Ghulam Ahmad Mir of Congress.
