The Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Mohammad Aijaz Asad on Thursday handed over a cheque of Rs 1 lakh to the acid attack survivor and assured all possible help.

“Rs. 1 Lakh was given out of District Red Cross Fund as an immediate assistance to the victim’s family. All other possible support from the District Administration Srinagar will also be ensured,” DC Srinagar said.

Deputy Commissioner Srinagar also held an interaction with the Medical Superintendent SMHS Hospital Dr Kanwal Jeet Singh and other doctors and enquired about the medical treatment being provided to the acid attack survivor.

SMHS Medical Superintendent informed the administration that the doctors are monitoring her condition and the survivor is in stable condition.

The Srinagar Administration also interacted with the parents of the acid attack survivor.
